“Sanju” is a 2018 Indian personal movie coordinated by Rajkumar Hirani and composed by Hirani
and Abhijat Joshi.

Sanju explores some of the most crucial chapters from movie star Sanjay Dutt’s dramatic and controversial real life. It gives a lowdown on his tryst with drugs and his trials and tribulations in
the Arms Acts case and the 1993 Mumbai blasts.

The film begins with D. N. Tripathi (Piyush Mishra), a lyricist, who composes a life story on
Sanjay “Sanju” Dutt, (Ranbir Kapoor), contrasting him and Mahatma Gandhi. A floored Sanjay
has him tossed out. The Bombay High Court conveys its decision in regards to the 1993 Bombay bombings and sentences Dutt to five years correctional facility term for disregarding the Arms
Act, 1959. His better half Manyata Dutt (Dia Mirza) approaches Winnie Diaz, (Anushka Sharma) a London-based essayist, to compose Sanjay’s history and present his form of his life to people in general. Albeit reluctant from the start, Winnie is asked by Zubin Mistry (Jim Sarbh), a land
developer, to not compose the memoir, which interests her. Winnie first talks with Sanjay, and
his life is uncovered in a flashback.
